We will read a few examples from the masters (Gretl Erlich, Jane Austen, Robert Frost) and try some exercises to hone skills and develop voices in the depiction of nature, wildness, and as Erlich calls it, "the solace of open spaces", as well as capturing the fragility of nature, as it is threatened by human activities today.
